Chuck heads across Canada to harvest gooseneck barnacles in Tofino, on Vancouver Island. There he meets Steven Dennis, a fisherman and member of the Ahousaht, one of the five Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations.

Stevie, his Innu friend Keven and Chuck take a quick boat ride to the barnacle colony. They make their way through jagged rocks covered with slippery algae. Chuck realizes just how challenging it is to harvest this prized seafood delicacy.

Stevie takes Chuck out to fish for salmon. Within minutes, they’ve brought in several kilos of salmon, more than enough for a banquet with Stevie’s family and friends.

In front of a delicious spread of food by the sea, Chuck takes in all that the Nuu-chah-nulth territory has to offer.
