Chuck travels to Wemotaci in Haute Mauricie to one of the three Atikamekw communities. He joins community member Roselin Awashish for a trapping adventure. Chuck learns how simple it is to make a trap and places a few in the woods. A white hare falls into the trap and Roselin teaches Chuck how to clean it and make a traditional and comforting hare stew. Roselin’s friends have a little surprise for Chuck. They have hunted a moose and Chuck is eager to learn how to clean it in order not to waste any parts of this big animal. The men cut it up in quarters, clean the insides and even take the skin to turn it into leather. In the community they honor what nature offers them to the last bit.
