CHUCK'S JOURNEY

Mashteuiatsh

Tuesday, January 10

It is mid-March and Chuck heads to Mashteuiatsh in the Saguenay-Lac-St.-Jean to meet Frederick Raphaël, an avid hunter who takes Chuck to his family land to hunt moose.
Fred introduces Chuck to his son Charlie and the men head to the forest. As they walk, Charlie spots some moose hair and excrement but after a few hours and endless walking, the tired men give up their hunt and go back to the family home to spend the night.
The next morning, they jump on their snowmobiles and drive back to nature. The search for moose starts once again. Hours pass and still no luck for the men as the sun begins to fade. As they get discouraged, Charlie hears something and suddenly there is a great moose in front of them! Charlie fires his gun and kills it. After 3 hard days of hunting, they can now go back home with a great amount of fresh meat to share with the community.
