Chuck and the First Peoples' Kitchen

CHUCK'S JOURNEY

Manawan

Monday, July 28

Chuck introduces his son Charles to Indigenous culture by taking him partridge hunting on the Manawan territory in Quebec, alongside Jean-Roch Ottawa and his grandson Mackomi. Jean-Roch explains the importance of passing on forest knowledge to the youth through demonstration. The day ends at the family camp, where the band prepares the harvested birds. The menu consists of pan-friend partridge, sausages, potatoes, vegetables and a blueberry dessert.
