Chuck heads to the Yukon to learn all about the traditional hunting method of lynx trapping. There he meets Russell Burns, a member of the Kwanlin Dün Nation and a third-generation trapper.
Chuck joins Russell at Ata-ku, the family’s camp just south of Whitehorse. The two head out on snowmobiles to a trapping area an hour away. Russell sets and secures the trap, using a piece of caribou hide as bait.
They’ll need to come back in a few days to see if the traps worked. This gives them just enough time to explore the majestic, snow-covered landscape before tasting some exquisite lynx meat.
