- 4 cups of flour
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder
- 3 teaspoons of salt
- 1 1/2 cups of water
- 1 cube of butter
- Mix the flour, salt, baking powder and water and knead the dough.
- Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Once the bannock has risen, grease a frying pan or skillet with butter and add the bannock.
- Cook over a low heat for 20 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 20 minutes.
- If you rap gently on the bannock, it should sound hollow.
