Trout cooked in bacon grease

  • 3 thick slices of bacon 
  • 1 trout 
  • 1 cup of fresh green peas 


  1. Cut the bacon into strips. 
  2. Place the strips in a hot pan.
  3. Add the fresh green peas.
  4. Once cooked, put aside the bacon and peas in a bowl but retain the bacon grease in the pan.
  5. Cut the trout into steaks.
  6. Place the steaks in the bacon grease.
  7. Slowly cook the trout on both sides.
  8. Once cooked and crispy, add the green peas and bacon strips to the trout.
