Wild rice pudding

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (125 ml) wild rice
  • 2 cups (500 ml) milk
  • 2 cups (500 ml) 35 % cream
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • Maple syrup, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter
  • ½ cup (125 ml) dried blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cook wild rice according to package directions.
  2. In a pot, add cooked and strained wild rice, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, maple syrup and butter. Bring to a simmer and allow to cook for about 10 minutes.
  3. Garnish with dried blueberries and maple syrup, to taste.
